Totai (Pty) LtdEst. 1980

Gas appliances for Southern Africa since 1980.

From one gas appliance company to a home brand and two Italian names, with the infrastructure, logistics and after-sales support to back them.

Since 1980 we have grown and evolved a diversified product portfolio: our home brand Totai, and the premium Italian brands Elba and Elica. Elba is a range of Italian gas cooking appliances; Elica designs exquisite domestic kitchen extraction and purification systems.

Totai has built a reputation for reliable gas and outdoor products that places it among the leaders across the gas appliance spectrum in Southern Africa, backed by infrastructure, logistics and after-sales support. Our brands are carried by retailers in every market segment, with dedicated teams who understand the balance between quality, value for money, technical support and product depth.

Innovation and governance sit at the heart of the business: great products, managed with a balance between profit, the environment and social responsibility.

Smell gas? Do this now.

  1. Close the cylinder valve or the main gas valve.
  2. No flames, no smoking, and don’t switch lights or plugs on or off.
  3. Open doors and windows. LP gas is heavier than air and settles low.
  4. Once it has cleared, brush soapy water over the connections. Bubbles show the leak.
  5. Don’t use the appliance until a registered gas installer has checked it.
